Muhammad said: Whoever reads 'sawa'an' (equal) in the accusative case does so based on the verbal noun (masdar), [as if to say] 'istawat istiwa'an' (they were equal [in an act of] equality).
(فِي أَرْبَعَة أَيَّام سواءٍ) أَي: مستوياتٍ , يَعْنِي: الْأَيَّام.
قَالَ محمدٌ: من نصب ﴿سَوَاء﴾ فعلى الْمصدر اسْتَوَت اسْتِوَاء.
