"Indeed, those who have said, 'Our Lord is Allah,'" being sincere to Him, "and then remained steadfast" upon it, "the angels will descend upon them" at the time of death, "'Do not fear'"—the verse.
The interpretation of al-Hasan: That the angels' saying to them, "Do not fear and do not grieve," is what they are greeted with when they emerge from their graves.
﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ﴾ مُخلصين لَهُ ﴿ثمَّ استقاموا﴾ عَلَيْهَا ﴿تتنزل عَلَيْهِم الْمَلَائِكَة﴾ عِنْد الْمَوْت ﴿أَلا تخافوا﴾ الْآيَة.
تَفْسِير الْحسن: أَن قَول الْمَلَائِكَة لَهُم: لَا تخافوا وَلَا تحزنوا؛ تستقبلهم بِهَذَا إِذا خَرجُوا من قُبُورهم
