"We are your allies in the worldly life," meaning: We were your allies while you were in the world, and we are your allies in the Hereafter. Some of them said: They are the angels who used to record their deeds. "And for you therein is whatever you desire," meaning: whatever you crave.
﴿نَحْنُ أَوْلِيَاؤُكُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا﴾ أَي: نَحن كُنَّا أولياءكم إِذْ كُنْتُم فِي الدُّنْيَا , وَنحن أولياؤكم فِي الْآخِرَة , قَالَ بَعضهم: هم الْمَلَائِكَة الَّذين كَانُوا يَكْتُبُونَ أَعْمَالهم ﴿وَلكم فِيهَا مَا تدعون﴾ أَي: مَا تشتهون
