the Torah, nor from before the Gospel, nor the Psalms. There is nothing in them that declares the Quran false, nor does it invalidate it. "Nor from behind it," meaning: no book comes after it to invalidate it. "A revelation from a Wise One" in His command, "Praiseworthy" who has sought praise from His creation; meaning: He has made it incumbent upon them that they should praise Him.
Interpretation of Surah Fussilat from verse 43 to verse 46.
التَّوْرَاة، وَلَا من قبل الْإِنْجِيل وَلَا الزبُور، لَيْسَ مِنْهَا شَيْء يكذب بِالْقُرْآنِ وَلَا يُبطلهُ ﴿وَلا من خَلفه﴾ لَا يَأْتِيهِ من بعده كتاب يُبطلهُ ﴿تَنْزِيل من حَكِيم﴾ فِي أمره ﴿حميد﴾ استحمد إِلَى خلقه؛ أَي: اسْتوْجبَ عَلَيْهِم أَن يحمدوه.
