Allah says: "And similarly, We did not send before you into any city a warner," a prophet who warns them of the punishment, "except that its affluent ones said," and they are the people of prominence and the leaders in polytheism, "Indeed, we are following their tracks," meaning: they were guided, so we follow their guidance.
