{Then bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful}, meaning: revive our forefathers for us, so that we may believe you in your claim that Allah revives the dead.
﴿فَأْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ﴾ أَي: فأحيوا لنا آبَاءَنَا، حَتَّى نصدقكم بمقالتكم أنَّ الله يحيي الْمَوْتَى.
