"And when We directed a group of the jinn toward you"—meaning: We directed them—"listening to the Qur’an. And when they attended it, they said, 'Listen quietly'"—each of them saying it to the other. "And when it was concluded"—meaning when the Prophet (peace be upon him) finished reciting it to them—"they turned back to their people as warners." They were the jinn of Nasibin.
﴿وَإِذْ صَرَفْنَا إِلَيْكَ نَفَرًا مِنَ الْجِنّ﴾ أَي: وجهنا ﴿يَسْتَمِعُون الْقُرْآن فَلَمَّا حَضَرُوهُ قَالُوا أَنْصتُوا﴾ يَقُوله بعضُهم لبَعض ﴿فَلَمَّا قُضِيَ﴾ لما قَرَأَهُ النَّبِي عَلَيْهِم ﴿ولوا﴾ رجعُوا ﴿إِلَى قَومهمْ منذرين﴾ وهم جن نَصِيبين
