"So We caused to grow thereby gardens and grain of harvest" - and it is everything that is harvested, according to the exegesis of al-Hasan.
Muhammad said: "Grain of harvest" (habba al-hasid) - the meaning is: the harvested grain (al-habbu al-hasid), so he added the 'grain' to the 'harvest' just as it is said: "The prayer of the early" (salatu al-ula), meaning: the early prayer; and "the mosque of the gathering" (masjidu al-jami'), meaning: the congregational mosque (al-masjidu al-jami').
﴿فَأَنْبَتْنَا بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ وَحَبَّ الْحَصِيدِ﴾ وَهُوَ كل مَا يحصد؛ فِي تَفْسِير الْحسن.
قَالَ محمدٌ: (حب الحصيد) الْمَعْنى: الْحبّ الحصيد، فأضاف الْحبّ إِلَى الحصيد؛ كَمَا يُقَال: صَلَاة الأولى؛ يُرَاد الصَّلَاة الأولى، وَمَسْجِد الْجَامِع؛ يُرَاد المسجدُ الْجَامِع.
