"You were indeed in negligence of this, so We have removed from you your veil," meaning the veil of disbelief, "so your sight today," meaning the Day of Resurrection, "is sharp," meaning discerning.
﴿لَقَدْ كُنْتَ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِنْ هَذَا فكشفنا عَنْك غطاءك﴾ غطاء الْكفْر ﴿فبصرك الْيَوْم﴾ يَعْنِي: يَوْم الْقِيَامَة ﴿حَدِيد﴾ أَي: بصيرٌ.
