[Then We would have cut off from him the life vein (al-watin)], which is the vein to which the heart is attached; if it is severed, the person dies.
﴿ثمَّ لقطعنا مِنْهُ الوتين﴾ وَهُوَ الْعِرْقُ الَّذِي الْقَلْبُ مُعَلَّقٌ بِهِ فَإِذَا انْقَطَعَ مَاتَ الْإِنْسَانُ
