"Obeyed there," meaning: in the heavens. Al-Hasan said: God commanded the inhabitants of the heavens to obey Gabriel, just as He commanded the inhabitants of the earth to obey Muhammad. "Trustworthy," with God and with the angels.
﴿مُطَاع ثمَّ﴾ يَعْنِي: فِي السَّمَاءِ. قَالَ الْحَسَنُ أَمَرَ اللَّهُ أَهْلَ السَّمَاءِ بِطَاعَةِ جِبْرِيلَ، كَمَا أَمَرَ أَهْلَ الْأَرْضِ أَن يطيعوا مُحَمَّدًا ﴿امين﴾ عِنْد الله وَعند الْمَلَائِكَة.
