"And He found you lost and guided you," like His saying: "And thus We have revealed to you a spirit of Our command," meaning: the Quran, "You did not know what the Book was, nor faith."
﴿ووجدك ضَالًّا فهدى﴾ كَقَوْلِهِ: ﴿وَكَذَلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ رُوحًا من أمرنَا﴾ يَعْنِي: الْقُرْآنَ ﴿مَا كُنْتَ تَدْرِي مَا الْكتاب وَلَا الْإِيمَان﴾
