[Those are the worst of creatures], meaning: the creation.
Muhammad said: Most recitations of (al-bariyya) are without a hamza due to frequent usage and the derivation of the term from: Allah created (bara'a) the creation [and brought it into existence].
Yahya: From Hammad, from Abu al-Muhazzam, from Abu Hurayra who said: "The believer is more noble to Allah than the angels who are with Him."
﴿أُولَئِكَ هم شَرّ الْبَريَّة﴾ يَعْنِي: الْخَلْقَ.
قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: أَكْثَرُ الْقِرَاءَة (الْبَريَّة) (ل ٣٩٧) بِلا هَمْزٍ؛ لِكَثْرَةِ الِاسْتِعْمَالِ وَاشْتِقَاقِ اللَّفْظَةِ مِنْ: بَرَأَ اللَّهُ الْخَلْقَ [ابْتَدَأَهُ].
يَحْيَى: عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَزَّمِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: ((الْمُؤْمِنُ أَكْرَمُ عَلَى اللَّهِ من الْمَلَائِكَة الَّذين عِنْده)).
