His saying: "And if only those who have wronged could see"

1485 - al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, Surur ibn al-Mughirah narrated to me, from 'Abbad ibn Mansur, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "And if only those who have wronged could see," he says: Allah is saying to Muhammad: "And if only you could see those who have wronged, you will see them when they see the punishment."

His saying: "When they see the punishment"

1486 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding His saying: "And if only those who have wronged could see when they see the punishment," he says: "When they witness the punishment." It was narrated from al-Rabi' similarly.

His saying: "That all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment"

1487 - al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bashshar narrated to us, Surur ibn al-Mughirah narrated to me, from 'Abbad ibn Mansur, from al-Hasan, regarding "And if only those who have wronged could see when they see the punishment that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment," he says: Allah is saying to Muhammad: "And if only those who have wronged could see when they see the punishment," [meaning] you will see them when they see the punishment, and at that time they will know that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment.

1488 - My father narrated to us, Hisham ibn Khalid narrated to us, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "The punishment," meaning: the chastisement of the Hereafter.

His saying: "[And remember] when those who were followed disassociated themselves from those who followed [them], and they [all] saw the punishment"

1489 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding His saying: "When those who were followed disassociated themselves," he said: "The leaders will disassociate themselves from the followers on the Day of Resurrection when they see the punishment."

1490 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid informed us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "When those who were followed disassociated themselves," he said: "They are the tyrants, the leaders, and the heads in evil and polytheism, from those who followed [them], who are the followers and the weak." It was narrated from 'Ata' and al-Rabi' ibn Anas similarly.
