[The fourth viewpoint]

1498 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, Isra'il informed us, from al-Suddi, from Abu Salih: "And the means of communication have been severed between them," he said: The deeds. It was narrated from al-Suddi similarly.

His saying: "And those who followed will say, 'If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us.'"

1499 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah: The followers will say: If only we had a turn back to the world, so we could disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us.

His saying: "Thus will Allah show them their deeds as regrets for them."

And through the same chain from Abu al-'Aliyah: Allah says: Thus will Allah show them their deeds as regrets for them. He says: Their evil deeds will become regrets for them on the Day of Resurrection. It was narrated from al-Rabi' ibn Anas similarly.

His saying: "[As] regrets for them. And they will never emerge from the Fire."

Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hammad ibn Talhah narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us from al-Suddi: "Thus will Allah show them their deeds as regrets for them," it is claimed that Paradise will be raised for them, so they will look at it, and they will look at their houses within it [as they would have had] if they had obeyed Allah. Then it will be said to them: Those are your dwellings, if you had obeyed Allah. Then it will be divided among the believers and they will inherit them, and that is when they will regret.

His saying: "And they will never emerge from the Fire."

1500 - Abu 'Abd Allah al-Tehrani narrated to us, Hafs ibn 'Umar narrated to us, al-Hakam ibn Aban narrated to us, from 'Ikrimah regarding His saying: "And they will never emerge from the Fire," he said: Those are its people, who are its [true] inhabitants.

1501 - My father narrated to us, Duhaym narrated to us, al-Walid narrated to us, al-Awza'i narrated to us, I heard Thabit ibn Ma'bad saying: The people of the Fire will continue to hope for their exit from it until [the verse] was revealed: "And they will never emerge from the Fire."

His saying: "O mankind, eat from whatever is on the earth [that is] lawful and good."

Its explanation has already preceded.
