[The fourth perspective]

1834 - It was read to Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la, Ibn Wahb narrated, he said: Malik said, Allah the Exalted says: "And no disputing in Hajj." The disputing in Hajj—and Allah knows best—is that the Quraysh used to stand at the Mash'ar al-Haram in Muzdalifah, while the Arabs and others would stand at 'Arafah, and they would dispute, one group saying: "We are more correct," and the other group saying: "We are more correct." This is what we think, and Allah knows best.

1835 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj and 'Amr al-Awdi narrated to us, they both said: Waki' narrated to us, from al-'Ala' ibn 'Abd al-Karim, he said: I heard Mujahid saying: "And no disputing in Hajj," for Allah has clarified the months of Hajj, so there is no disputing in it among the people.

[The fifth perspective]

1836 - My father narrated to us, Hajjaj al-Anmati narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Jabr ibn Habib, from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad, that he said: "The disputing in Hajj is for some of them to say: 'The Hajj is tomorrow,' and some of them to say: 'It is today.'"

[His saying: And whatever good you do, Allah knows it]

1837 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Musa ibn Muhallim narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, 'Abbad ibn Mansur narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "And whatever good you do," he said: "Whatever the son of Adam does of good."

[His saying: And take provisions]

[The first perspective]

1838 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd al-'Awfi informed us in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to me, my paternal uncle al-Husayn ibn 'Atiyyah narrated to me, my father narrated to me, from my grandfather, from 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "And take provisions, for the best of provisions is taqwa (piety), and fear Me, O you of understanding." He said: People used to go out from their families without provisions, saying: "We are performing Hajj to the House of Allah, so will He not feed us?" So Allah said: "Take provisions that will shield your faces (from begging) from the people."

1839 - Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid al-Muqri' narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us from 'Amr ibn Dinar.
