The Second Aspect:
148 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah narrated to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "In their transgression," he said: In their disbelief. Abu Muhammad said: Qatadah and al-Rabi' ibn Anas followed Abu al-'Aliyah [in this interpretation], and al-Suddi followed Ibn 'Abbas.

149 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih the scribe of al-Layth narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding: "Wandering blindly," he said: They persist. Al-Suddi interpreted it in the same way, while others disagreed with him and said: They fluctuate.
The Second Aspect:

Mujahid, Abu Malik, Abu al-'Aliyah, and al-Rabi' ibn Anas interpreted it in the same way.
The Third Aspect:
151 - 'Ali ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, 'Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Hisham narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-A'mash regarding "in their transgression, wandering blindly," he said: They play.
And His saying: "Those are the ones who have purchased"
152 - Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma'mar informed us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Those are the ones who have purchased misguidance [in exchange] for guidance," he said: They preferred misguidance over guidance.
His saying: "Purchased misguidance [in exchange] for guidance"
153 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan Muhammad ibn 'Amr informed us, Salama narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq who said: Concerning what Muhammad ibn Abi Muhammad narrated to me, from 'Ikrimah or Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas: "Those are the ones who have purchased misguidance [in exchange] for guidance," meaning: Disbelief for belief.

١٤٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ قَالَ: فِي كُفْرِهِمْ. قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ: وَتَابَعَ أَبَا الْعَالِيَةِ قَتَادَةُ وَالرَّبِيعُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، وَتَابَعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ السُّدِّيُّ.

١٤٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ كَاتِبُ اللَّيْثِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: يَعْمَهُونَ قَالَ: يَتَمَادَوْنَ. وَكَذَا فَسَّرَهُ السُّدِّيُّ
، وَخَالَفَهُ آخَرُونَ فَقَالُوا: يَتَرَدَّدُونَ.

١٥١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ، الأَعْمَشِ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يعمهون قال: يلعبون.
وقوله: أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُا
١٥٢ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ، أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوَا الضَّلالَةَ بِالْهُدَى قَالَ: اسْتَحَبُّوا الضَّلالَةَ عَلَى الْهُدَى.
قَوْلُهُ: اشْتَرَوُا الضَّلالَةَ بِالْهُدَى
١٥٣ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَنْبَأَ أَبُو غَسَّانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثنا سَلَمَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: فِيمَا حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ أَوْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ: عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوَا الضلالة بالهدى أي الكفر بالإيمان.
