from it, a brilliant, dark neck. Then He will say: "Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you should not worship Satan? Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy. And that you should worship Me? This is a straight path," up to His saying: "And distinguish yourselves today, O criminals." He will distinguish between the people, and the nations will fall to their knees. He said: "You will see every nation kneeling, every nation being called to its book. They will stand for a period of seventy years without Him judging between them. They will weep until tears are exhausted, then they will shed blood, and they will sweat until it reaches them to the point that the sweat bridles them and reaches their chins."
They will cry out and say: "Who will intercede for us with our Lord, so that He may judge between us?" They will say: "And who is more worthy of that than your father Adam, peace be upon him?" They will request that of him, but he will refuse and say: "I am not the one for that." Then they will seek out the prophets, one prophet after another; every time they come to a prophet, he will refuse them. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Until they come to me, so I shall go forth until I arrive, and I will fall prostrate." Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "And perhaps he said, 'before the Throne,' until He sends to me an angel who will take me by my upper arm and raise me up. He will say to me, 'O Muhammad.' I will say, 'Yes, O Lord.' He will say, 'What is your concern?'—and He is All-Knowing—and I will say, 'O Lord, You promised me the intercession, so grant me intercession for Your creation and judge between them.'"
He said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "So I will come and stand with the people, and Allah will judge between the creatures. The first thing He will judge regarding is blood. Everyone who was killed in the cause of Allah will come carrying his head, while his jugular veins are gushing, and they will say: 'O our Lord, such and such person killed us.' Allah will say—and He is All-Knowing—'Were you killed?' They will say: 'O our Lord, we were killed so that the Might would be Yours.' Allah will say to them: 'You have spoken the truth.' He will then place light upon their faces like the light of the sun, and the angels will lead them to Paradise. And there will come those who were killed for other than that, carrying their heads while their jugular veins are gushing, and they will say: 'O our Lord, such and such person killed us.' He will say: 'Why?'—and He is All-Knowing—and they will say: 'So that the Might would be Yours.' Allah will say: 'You are wretched.' Then, there will not remain a soul that was killed but that it will be retaliated for, nor an injustice that was committed but that it will be accounted for; and it will be in the will of Allah the Almighty: if He wills, He will punish him, and if He wills, He will show him mercy. Then Allah will judge between the rest of His creation until there remains no grievance of anyone against anyone else, except that Allah the Almighty will exact it for the oppressed from the oppressor. It will reach the point that, on that day, He will hold accountable the one who mixed milk with water for sale—the one who used to mix milk with water and then sell it—so he will be charged with separating the milk from the water. When Allah finishes with that, He will make a call that all the creatures will hear: 'Let every people follow their deities and what they used to worship other than Allah.' So, no one who worshipped other than Him will remain without his deities being represented before him. Angels will be placed in the form of Ezra, and an angel will be placed in the form of Jesus. The Jews will follow the former, and the Christians the latter, then their deities will return with them into the Fire. This is what Allah referred to: 'If these had been gods, they would not have arrived at it, and all therein will abide forever.'"
