مجلد 10 · صفحة 126[سورة غافر (٤٠) : آية ٢٨]

الترجمة · EN

He said: [It is] looking at her to see if you desire betrayal or not? I shall inform you, and Allah judges with the truth; [He is] able to recompense the good with good and the evil with evil.

His saying, the Almighty: "Will you kill a man because he says, 'My Lord is Allah'?" ... the [entire] verse.

18430 - Harun ibn Ishaq al-Hamadani narrated to us, 'Abdah narrated to us, from Hisham—meaning ibn 'Urwah—from his father, from 'Amr ibn al-'As, that he was asked: What is the most severe [thing] you saw the Quraysh reach against the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace? He said: He passed by them one day, and they said to him: Are you forbidding us to worship what our fathers worshipped? He replied: "I am that [person]." They rose up against him and took hold of the gathers of his clothes. I saw Abu Bakr embracing him from behind while he was crying out at the top of his voice, his eyes shedding tears, saying: O people! Will you kill a man because he says, "My Lord is Allah" while he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord? Until he finished the entire verse.

18431 - From Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: There was no one in the family of Pharaoh who was a believer except for him, the wife of Pharaoh, and the believer who warned Musa, peace be upon him, who said: "Indeed, the eminent ones are conferring over you to kill you."

His saying, the Almighty: "It is greatly hateful."

18432 - From Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: Whatever the believers deem good, it is good with Allah, and whatever the believers deem evil, it is evil with Allah. Al-A'mash, may Allah be pleased with him, used to interpret after it: "It is greatly hateful to Allah and to those who have believed."

His saying, the Almighty: "Except in loss."

18433 - From Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: "Except in loss," he said: [In] ruin.

His saying, the Almighty: "O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement."

18434 - From Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: The world is one Friday from the Fridays of the Hereafter. Seven thousand years.
