His saying, the Almighty: "And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally."

18521 - Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn al-Junayd narrated to us, [saying] Sawad al-Sarahi narrated to us, [saying] Abdullah ibn Wahb narrated to us, from Ibn Lahi'ah, from Uqayl ibn Khalid, from al-Hasan, from Abu Hurayrah, from Abu Umamah: That the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, spoke to them and mentioned Paradise, saying: "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, one of you will surely take a morsel and place it in his mouth, then another food will occur to his mind, and the food that is in his mouth will transform into that which he desired." Then he recited: "And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally." (1)

18522 - From Ibn Abbas, he said: "The lowest of the people of Paradise in status has seventy thousand servants; with every servant is a platter of gold. If all the people of the earth were to descend upon him, he would satisfy them [with it], without seeking help from anyone else for them." And that is [reflected] in the saying of Allah: "And therein is whatever the souls desire." (2)

18523 - From Ibn Abbas, that he was asked: "Are there children in Paradise?" He said: "If they wish." (3)

His saying, the Almighty: "And that is Paradise which you have inherited for what you used to do."

18524 - From Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "There is no one but that he has a home in Paradise and a home in the Fire. The disbeliever inherits the place of the believer in the Fire, and the believer inherits the place of the disbeliever in Paradise." And that is His saying: "And that is Paradise which you have inherited for what you used to do." (4)

His saying, the Almighty: "And they will call, 'O Malik.'"

18525 - From Ibn Abbas, regarding "And they will call, 'O Malik,'" he said: "He remains silent for them for a thousand years, then he answers them: 'Indeed, you will remain.'" (5)

His saying, the Almighty: "Say, 'If the Most Merciful had a son.'"

18526 - From Ibn Abbas, regarding His saying: "Say, 'If the Most Merciful had a son,'" he says: "[It means] there is no son for the Most Merciful, so I would be the first of the worshipers." He said: "[Meaning] the witnesses." (6)
