His (Exalted is He) saying: "Move not your tongue with it"
19060 - Abū Saʿīd al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abū Yaḥyā al-Taymī narrated to us, Mūsā ibn Abī ʿĀʾishah narrated to us, from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: When the revelation descended upon the Messenger of God (may God bless him and grant him peace), he would experience great intensity from it. When it descended upon him, it was known by the movement of his lips; he would receive the beginning of it and move his lips, fearing that he might forget the beginning before finishing the end of it. So God said: "Move not your tongue with it to hasten with it."
His (Exalted is He) saying: "But man has insight into his own self"
19061 - From Ibn ʿAbbās regarding "But man has insight into his own self," he said: His hearing, his sight, his hand, his feet, and his limbs. "Even if he presents his excuses," he said: Even if he strips off his garments.
19062 - From Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: The Messenger of God (may God bless him and grant him peace) would labor with great intensity from the descent of the revelation, and he would move his tongue and lips with it for fear that something of it might escape him, desiring to memorize it. Then God revealed: "Move not your tongue with it to hasten with it. Indeed, upon Us is its collection and its recitation." He said: He means, "It is upon Us to collect it in your breast, then you shall recite it." "And when We have recited it [to you]," he says: "When We have revealed it to you, then follow its recitation. So listen to it and be silent. Then, indeed, upon Us is its clarification," [meaning] clarify it with your tongue. In one version: "Upon Us is that we recite it." Thereafter, whenever Jibrīl came to the Messenger of God (may God bless him and grant him peace), he would lower his head, and in another version: he would listen. When he departed, he would recite as God (the Mighty and Majestic) had promised him.
His (Exalted is He) saying: "Then follow its recitation"
19063 - From Ibn ʿAbbās regarding "When We have recited it [to you]," he said: We have clarified it. "Then follow its recitation," he says: Act upon it.
His (Exalted is He) saying: "Radiant"
19064 - From Ibn ʿAbbās regarding His saying: "[Some] faces, that day, will be radiant," he said: Delightful.
19065 - From Mujāhid regarding "[Some] faces, that day, will be radiant," he said: Joyful.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ
١٩٠٦٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى التَّيْمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ ابن جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْوَحْيُ يَلْقَى مِنْهُ شِدَّةً، وَكَانَ إِذَا نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ عُرِفَ فِي تَحْرِيكِهِ شَفَتَيْهِ يَتَلَقَّى أَوَّلَهُ وَيُحَرِّكُ شَفَتَيْهُ، خَشْيَةَ أَنْ يَنْسَى أَوَّلَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَفْرَغَ مِنْ آخِرِهِ فَقَالَ اللَّهُ: لا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِ

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: بَلِ الْإِنْسَانُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ بَصِيرَةٌ
١٩٠٦١ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ بَلِ الْإِنْسَانُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ بَصِيرَةٌ
قال: سمعه وبصره ويده ورجليه وَجَوَارِحُهُ وَلَوْ أَلْقَى مَعَاذِيرَهُ
قَالَ: وَلَوْ تَجَرَّدَ مِنْ ثِيَابِهِ «٢» .
١٩٠٦٢ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَالِجُ مِنَ التَّنْزِيلِ شِدَّةً، وَكَانَ يُحَرِّكُ بِهِ لِسَانَهُ وَشَفَتَيْهُ مَخَافَةَ أن يتلفت مِنْهُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَحْفَظَهُ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ: لا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُ وَقُرْآنَهُ
قَالَ: يَقُولُ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا أَنْ نَجْمَعَهُ فِي صَدْرِكَ ثُمَّ تَقْرَؤُهُ فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَاهُ
يَقُولُ: فَإِذَا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ عَلَيْكَ فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْآنَهُ
فَاسْتَمِعْ لَهُ وَأَنْصِتْ ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُ بَيِّنْهُ بِلِسَانِكَ، وَفِي لَفْظٍ عَلَيْنَا أَنْ نَقْرَأَهُ فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ إِذَا أَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ أَطْرَقَ، وَفِي لَفْظٍ اسْتَمَعَ، فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ قَرَأَ كَمَا وَعَدَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ «٣» .
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْآنَهُ
١٩٠٦٣ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَاهُ
قَالَ: بَيَّنَّاهُ فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْآنَهُ
يَقُولُ: اعْمَلْ بِهِ «٤» .
١٩٠٦٤ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاضِرَةٌ قَالَ: نَاعِمَةٌ «٥» .
١٩٠٦٥ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاضِرَةٌ قال: مسرورة «٦» .
