Sūrat al-Nabaʾ (The Announcement)

His (Exalted is He) saying: "Of what are they asking one another?"

19093 - From al-Ḥasan, he said: "When the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) was sent, they began asking one another among themselves, so it was revealed: 'Of what are they asking one another? Of the Great Announcement.'"

His (Exalted is He) saying: "A blazing lamp"

19094 - From Ibn ʿAbbās, regarding His saying: "And We made a blazing lamp," he said: "Illuminating." And "And We sent down from the pressing clouds," he said: "The clouds." "Pouring water," he said: "Gushing forth."

His (Exalted is He) saying: "And We sent down from the pressing clouds"

19095 - From Ibn ʿAbbās: "And We sent down from the pressing clouds," he said: "The winds." "Pouring water," he said: "Gushing forth."

His (Exalted is He) saying: "And gardens with dense foliage"

19096 - From Ibn ʿAbbās, regarding His saying: "And gardens with dense foliage," he said: "Gathered together."

His (Exalted is He) saying: "The day the Trumpet is blown, and you shall come in groups"

19097 - From Mujāhid, regarding His saying: "The day the Trumpet is blown, and you shall come in groups," he said: "In throngs."

His (Exalted is He) saying: "Remaining therein for ages (aḥqāb)"

He said: "Years."

19098 - From Abū Hurayrah: "Remaining therein for ages," he said: "The ḥuqb is eighty years, and the year is three hundred and sixty days, and the day is like a thousand years of what you count."
