It is also narrated by Ahmad (1/297), al-Bayhaqi (7/198), Ibn Hibban (1721), Ibn Kathir (1/382), al-Tabari (2/235), al-Fath (8/191), al-Mishkat (3191), al-Masir (1/251), al-Manthur (1/262), and al-Kanz (44872).

2144: Your right hand: 2: Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal said: Abu Sa'id, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to us; Khalifah bin Khayyat narrated to us; Ibn Khayyat narrated to me; 'Amr bin Shu'ayb narrated to me, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever makes an oath and then sees that something else is better than it, let him leave it, and its expiation is to abandon it." Sahih (authentic). Narrated by Ahmad (4/258, 259), Muslim in (Al-Iman, H/16, 17), al-Baghawi (1/221), and al-Qurtubi (6/282). It was also narrated by Abu Dawud through the path of Abu 'Ubayd bin al-Akhnas, from 'Amr bin Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no vow and no oath regarding that which the son of Adam does not own, nor in disobedience, nor in cutting ties of kinship. And whoever makes an oath and sees that something else is better than it, let him abandon it and do that which is better, for abandoning it is its expiation."
