And Al-Targhib (3/62), and Ibn Kathir (1/481, 4/237).

544: 2887: The Resurrection: 1: Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (1/326).

: 2888: The Resurrection: 2: The previous source.

: 2889: Chokes: 3: The previous source.

546: 2897: What has passed: 1: Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (1/326). He said: "This athar (report) is well-known, and it is evidence for what prohibits the transaction of 'inah, along with the hadiths that have come regarding it established in the Book of Ahkam (Judgments)."

547: 2906: Charities: 1: Narrated from Abu Hurayrah—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "On the night I was taken on the night journey, I came upon a people whose bellies were like houses containing snakes that could be seen from outside their bellies. I said: Who are these, O Gabriel? He said: These are those who consume usury (riba)."

Narrated by Ibn Kathir: (1/326).

: 2907: Usury: 2: Al-Bukhari narrated in his Sahih from the hadith of 'Aishah—may Allah be pleased with her—that she said: "When the final verses of Surat al-Baqarah were revealed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out and recited them in the mosque, then he prohibited trading in wine."

Kitab al-Tafsir, (H/4541).

: 2908: Charities: 3: Sahih. Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi (H/662). He said: "This is a Hasan Sahih (good and authentic) hadith." And Al-Targhib (2/3), Al-Tabari (3/69, 70, 11/15), Al-Manthur (1/365), Ibn Abi Shaybah (3/112), Al-Kanz (15990), and Al-Jawami' (5286).

548: 2914: Usury: 1: Al-Qurtubi said: Its literal meaning is that he invalidated whatever usury was not yet taken into possession, even if it was contracted before the revelation of the verse of prohibition, and he did not seek to annul what had already been taken into possession. It has been said: The verse was revealed regarding Thaqif, and they had pledged to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that whatever usury they were owed by people was theirs, and whatever people owed them was waived. So when the due dates for their usury arrived, they sent to Makkah to collect, and the debts were owed by the Banu 'Abdah—who are the Banu 'Amr ibn 'Umayr from Thaqif—and they were owed by the Banu al-Mughirah al-Makhzumiyyin.
