And Al-Khatib (10/278), and Al-Bukhari in "Al-Tarikh" (1/455, 4/16).

745: 4052: They encounter you: 1: Al-Qurtubi said in the interpretation of this verse: Meaning with Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and that he is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). "And when they are alone among themselves, they bite their fingertips at you," meaning the tips of their fingers out of rage and fury against you, and some of them say to others: "Do you not see these people? They have become prominent and numerous." Biting is an expression of intense rage stemming from the inability to execute it.

746: 4054: Their fingertips: 1: See: the previous footnote.

: 4055: The Ibadis: 2: The Ibadis: one of the sects of the Shi'a.

747: 4065: Anything: 1: Al-Qurtubi said in the interpretation of this verse: "Darrahu" (he harmed him), "yaduruhu" (he harms him), and "yadirruhu" (he harms him) - "dayran" and "dawran" (harm). Thus, Allah the Almighty conditioned the negation of their harm upon patience and piety, and that was a consolation for the believers and a strengthening for their souls.

748: 4068: We settle: 1: Al-Qurtubi said: The root of "tabawwu" (settling) is taking up residence. I "bawwa'tuhu" (settled him) in a house when I let him dwell in it, and from this is his saying (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whoever lies about me intentionally, let him take his seat in the Fire." Sahih. Narrated by Al-Bukhari (1/38), Abu Dawud (h/3651), Ahmad (1/78, 167), Al-Bayhaqi (4/72), Al-Shafi'i (239), Ibn 'Asakir in "Al-Tarikh" (5/178, 359), Al-Khatib (14/225), Al-Majma' (4/131), Al-'Uqayli (2/46, 329), and Ibn Abi Shaybah (8/571-575).

749: 4073: Salamah: 1: Tafsir al-Qurtubi (3/1427).

750: 4080: Among us: 1: Sahih. Narrated by Al-Bukhari in: 64 - Book of Military Expeditions, 11 - Chapter: The Witnessing of the Angels at Badr, (h/3992). A portion of it is in: (h/3994).
