the one killed is killed at his appointed time, and what Allah has known and informed [His servants] of will inevitably come to pass. It is said: Seventy hypocrites died on the day this was said.

Recorded by Muslim in (Al-Imarah, Chapter: Clarification that the souls of the martyrs are in Paradise and that they are alive with their Lord, being provided for), al-Tirmidhi (no. 3011), who said: This is a Hasan Sahih hadith, and Ibn Majah in (Al-Jihad, Chapter: The virtue of martyrdom in the cause of Allah).

814: 4497: He gave them: 1: It is established in the Two Sahihs (al-Bukhari and Muslim) on the authority of Anas regarding the story of the companions of Bi'r Ma'una, the seventy from the Ansar who were killed in one morning, and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) practiced Qunut, supplicating against those who killed them and cursing them. Anas said: A Quran was revealed regarding them which we used to recite until it was abrogated: "Convey from us to our people that we have met our Lord, so He became pleased with us and made us pleased [with Him]." (Tafsir Ibn Kathir: 1/428).
