Recorded by al-Bukhari (2/132, 6/49), al-Nasa'i (5/39), Ahmad (2/355), al-Bayhaqi (4/81, 7/2), al-Targhib (1/541), al-Mishkat (1774), Sharh al-Sunnah (5/478), al-Manthur (2/105), al-Baghawi (3/88), Ithaf (4/12, 10/516), al-Mughni 'an Haml al-Asfar (4/517), and Nasb al-Rayah (4/408).

824: 4559: Upon him: 1: Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (1/434).

825: 4567: The Unseen: 1: Al-Qurtubi said in the explanation of this verse: O company of believers, meaning: Allah would not distinguish the hypocrites for you until you knew them, but this is made manifest to you through obligation and trial. This was indeed manifested to you on the day of Uhud, for the hypocrites lagged behind and showed malice. You did not know this unseen before this; thus, Allah has now made Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions aware of it.

It is also said: The meaning of "to make you aware" is: Allah would not inform you of what will happen from them.

826: 4572: For himself: 1: Tafsir Mujahid: (1/140).

: 4575: For the people: 2: Al-Khalil, Sibawayh, and al-Farra' said: The meaning is "stinginess is better for them," meaning let not the stingy think that stinginess is better for them. The word [stinginess] was omitted due to the indication of "they are stingy" (yabkhaluna) towards the noun "stinginess" (al-bukhl), and it is like His saying: "Whoever is truthful, it was better for him," meaning: Truthfulness was better for him.

827: 4578: The Resurrection: 1: Sahih. Recorded by al-Tirmidhi (no. 3012). Al-Tirmidhi said: This is a hasan sahih (good and authentic) hadith.

And by al-Nasa'i in (Zakat, Chapter: The Severity of Withholding Zakat) and Ibn Majah in (Zakat, Chapter: What has been reported regarding the prohibition of Zakat).
