And it was authenticated by Shaykh al-Albani.
908: 5063: Greatly: 1: A group of people said: The verse does not grant permission for being excessive (ghulu) in dowries, because the illustration using the 'quintar' is only for the purpose of exaggeration, as if it said: 'You have given this great amount that no one else gives.' This is like his saying, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, even if it be like the nest of a sandgrouse (qatah), Allah will build for him a house in Paradise."
It is known that it cannot be a mosque like the nest of a sandgrouse.
Narrated by Ahmad (1/341), Ibn Hibban (301), al-Majma' (2/7), who attributed it to al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani in al-Saghir, and its narrators are reliable. Also by al-Baghawi (3/69), al-Matalib (352), al-Manthur (3/317), al-Mughni 'an Haml al-Asfar (1/151), al-Fath (12/84, 64), al-Tabarani in al-Saghir (1/30, 2/120), al-Bukhari in al-Kabir (5/330), Ibn 'Asakir in al-Tarikh (4/416), Ibn Kathir (8/71), and al-Qurtubi (5/100, 6/161).
