الترجمة · EN

I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, those who insult men insult their fathers and mothers.' He said: 'O Abu Dharr, you are a man in whom there is Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance). They are your brothers whom Allah has placed under your authority. So feed them from what you eat, clothe them from what you wear, and do not task them beyond their ability. If you do task them, then assist them.'

Narrated by Muslim in (al-Imarah, no. 38), Abu Dawud (no. 5157), al-Mughni 'an Haml al-Asfar (3/171), Nasb al-Rayah (3/276), Ithaf (8/24), al-Kanz (25052, 25665, 25668), and al-Qurtubi (5/189).
