5420: He wills: 2: Imam Ahmad said: Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Sadaqah ibn Musa narrated to us, Abu 'Umran al-Jawni narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Musa, from 'Aishah who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The registers (dawawin) with Allah are three: a register that Allah does not concern Himself with at all, a register from which Allah does not leave anything out, and a register that Allah does not forgive.
As for the register that Allah does not forgive, it is associating partners with Allah. Allah the Almighty said: 'Indeed, Allah does not forgive associating others with Him' (the verse). And He said: 'Indeed, he who associates others with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise to him.' As for the register that Allah does not concern Himself with at all, it is the servant's wronging of his own soul regarding what is between him and Allah, such as missing a day of fasting or a prayer, for Allah forgives that and overlooks it if He wills. And as for the register from which Allah does not leave anything out, it is the wronging of the servants to one another; retribution is inevitable."
Authentic (Sahih). Narrated by Ahmad (6/240), al-Majma' (10/348), and he attributed it to Ahmad. It contains Sadaqah ibn Musa, and the majority of scholars have declared him weak, though Muslim ibn Ibrahim said: "Sadaqah ibn Musa narrated to us, and he was truthful (saduq)," and the rest of its narrators are trustworthy.
