1082: 6050: From her and from him (minha wa minhu): 1: Al-Qurtubi said in the interpretation of this verse: It is an announcement that stinginess (al-shuh) exists in everyone, and that a human being must inevitably be stingy by virtue of his creation and nature, to the point that it drives its possessor to some of what he dislikes. It is said: shaha yashuh, with a kasrah on the letter shin.
Ibn Jubayr said: It is a woman's stinginess regarding the support from her husband and his division of his days for her. Ibn Zayd said: The stinginess here is from him and from her. It has been narrated that the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to the Ansar: "Who is your master?" They said: Al-Jadd ibn Qays, despite a certain stinginess in him. The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "And what disease is more debilitating than stinginess!" They said: And how is that, O Messenger of Allah? He said: "A group of people descended upon a coast, and because of their stinginess, they hated for guests to descend upon them. So they said: Let the men among us move away from the women so that the men can excuse themselves to the guests with the absence of the women, and the women can excuse themselves with the absence of the men. They did so, and it lasted a long time, so the men occupied themselves with men, and the women with women."
