to suspect them; thus, the testimony of those who are suspected was left, and it became impermissible regarding a child, parent, brother, wife, or husband. This is the school of al-Hasan, al-Nakha'i, al-Sha'bi, Shurayh, Malik, al-Thawri, al-Shafi'i, and Ibn Hanbal.
1088: 6091: Other than him: 1: Ibn Kathir said in the interpretation of this verse: Meaning, let not desire, partisanship, and hatred of people toward you cause you to abandon justice in your affairs and matters; rather, adhere to justice in any case.
From this is the statement of 'Abd Allah ibn Rawaha when the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) sent him to assess the yield of the fruit and crops of the people of Khaybar, and they wanted to bribe him so that he would be lenient with them. He said:
"By Allah, I have come to you from the side of the most beloved of creation to me, and you are more hateful to me than your counterparts among the apes and swine. But my love for him and my hatred for you do not drive me to fail to deal justly with you." They said: "By this, the heavens and the earth were established."
(Tafsir Ibn Kathir: 1/565).
1089: 6096: With testimony: 1: The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "The best of witnesses is the one who comes with his testimony before he is asked for it."
