: 1379: Good deeds: 3: Al-Qurtubi said: Meaning, "to good deeds," and the preposition was omitted. That is: hasten to what Allah, the Majestic and Exalted, has commanded you regarding facing the Sacred House. Although it implies the general urging to hasten toward all acts of obedience, the intended meaning here is that which was mentioned regarding facing [the Qibla], due to the context of the verses. The intended meaning is: hastening to pray at the beginning of its time, and Allah Almighty knows best. Al-Nasa'i narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The likeness of the one who hastens to prayer is like one who offers a camel as a sacrifice; then the one who follows him is like one who offers a cow; then the one who follows him is like one who offers a ram; then the one who follows him is like one who offers a chicken; then the one who follows him is like one who offers an egg." Narrated by al-Nasa'i (2/116) and al-Kanz (21170).

I (the author) say: In the authentic Hadith, Allah Almighty says: "Whoever remembers Me within himself, I will remember him within Myself, and whoever remembers Me in a gathering, I will remember him in a gathering better than that."
