These deeds were attributed to them in that they were commanded to perform them, while the attribution of corrupt deeds to them was in that they actually performed them. "Hasrah" (regret) is a singular noun belonging to the category of "hasarat" (regrets), similar to "tamrah" (a single date) and "tamarat" (dates), "jafnah" (a bowl) and "jafnat" (bowls), and "shahwah" (desire) and "shahwat" (desires). This applies when it is a noun; however, if it is an adjective, it is made quiescent, such as his saying: "dakmah" (large) and "dakmat" (large ones), "ablah" (sturdy) and "ablat" (sturdy ones). Regret is the highest degree of remorse over a lost thing.
