Ibn Kathir said: "This sequence contains a strangeness in that the leader of the Hajj in the year of the Umrah of al-Ji'ranah was only 'Attab ibn Asid, whereas Abu Bakr was the leader in the year nine."

: 9220. That: 3: Al-Kalbi said: The four months were only for those who had a treaty between themselves and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) for less than four months. As for whoever had a treaty longer than four months, he is the one whom Allah ordered to have his treaty fulfilled for him by His saying: "So fulfill for them their treaty until their term." This is the chosen view of al-Tabari and others.
