Khabal means corruption, tale-bearing, inciting disagreement, and false rumors. This is an interrupted exception (istithna' munqati'), meaning: They did not increase you in strength, but rather they sought corruption. It was also said: The meaning is that they do not increase you in whatever they fluctuate in regarding opinion except in corruption, so the exception is not interrupted.
