2023: 10819. My Lord: 1: Ibn Kathir said in his interpretation of this verse: Meaning, upon certainty, a clear matter, and a truthful prophethood; and it is a great mercy from Allah to him and to them.

This is an interrogative in the sense of denial, meaning: It is not possible for me to force you to acknowledge it. Noah—peace be upon him—only intended by this statement to respond to them.
