that is interrupted, meaning: however, whom your Lord has shown mercy with faith and guidance, he has not differed. It is also said: they are different in provision, for this one is rich and this one is poor, "except whom your Lord has shown mercy" with contentment; this was said by Al-Hasan.
2095: 11291. The mercy: 1: Tafsir Mujahid: (5/2095).
: 11292. He created them: 2: Ash-hab said: I asked Malik about this verse, and he said: He created them so that one party would be in Paradise and one party in the Blaze. That is: He created the people of difference for difference, and the people of mercy for mercy. It was also narrated from Ibn Abbas that he said: He created them as two parties: a party He shows mercy to, and a party He does not show mercy to.
Al-Mahdawi said: In the speech, according to this estimation, there is a precedence and a postponement. The meaning is: "And they will continue to differ, except whom your Lord has shown mercy. And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled: 'I will surely fill Hell with Jinn and mankind together,' and for that He created them."

2097: 11311. They do: 1: Ibn Kathir said regarding His saying: "And your Lord is not unaware of what you do": Meaning: What those who deny you are upon, O Muhammad, is not hidden from Him. Rather, He is knowledgeable of their conditions and their words, and He will recompense them for that with the most complete recompense in the world and the Hereafter, and He will grant you and your party victory over them in both abodes.
