11952: Allah for you: 2: His saying: "No reproach upon you" (la tathrib 'alaykum), meaning: Yusuf—who was forbearing and guided—said: "No reproach upon you this day," and the sentence was completed. The meaning of "this day" is: this time.
And at-tathrib means reproach and blame, meaning: there is no reproach, no blame, and no censure upon you this day. This was stated by Sufyan al-Thawri and others. From this is the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him: "If the slave girl of one of you commits adultery, let him apply the prescribed punishment (hadd) upon her, and let him not reproach (la yathrib) her."
