so he gave him honey to drink. Then he came and said: O Messenger of Allah, it only increased his looseness. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah's speech is true and your brother's belly is false; go and give him honey to drink." So he went and gave him honey to drink, and he was cured.

Ibn Kathir said: His statement "and grandchildren (hafada)" is related to your spouses, so it must mean children and grandchildren, or in-laws, because they are the spouses of the daughters or the children of the spouse. Al-Sha'bi and Al-Dahhak said the same, for they are usually under the care of a man, in his lap, and in his service, and this may be what is meant by his (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) statement in the hadith of Nasra ibn Aktam: "And the child is a servant to you."
