: 13325: The verse (al-ayah): 3: Al-Qurtubi said: When He explained that the sending down of the verses of the Quran contains a warning, He added to it the mention of the sign (ayah) of the Night Journey (Isra'), which is what is mentioned at the beginning of the Surah. In al-Bukhari and al-Tirmidhi, on the authority of Ibn Abbas regarding His, the Almighty's, statement: "And We made not the vision which We showed you but as a trial for the people" (Quran 17:60), he said: It is a visual sight that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was shown the night he was taken on the night journey to Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem). He said: "And the accursed tree in the Quran" is the tree of al-Zaqqum. Abu Isa al-Tirmidhi said: This is a sound (sahih) hadith. (Al-Tafsir: 6/3898).
