and removed. Meaning: on the Day of Resurrection, for the earth will be level, having no covering upon it. Al-Nahhas says:
And 'al-juruz' in the language means: land that has no vegetation.
Al-Kisa'i said: It is said 'jarazat al-ard tajruzu', and the people 'jarazuha' (devoured it) when they consume all the vegetation and crops that grow upon it, so it is 'majruza' and 'juruz'.
