الترجمة · EN

2972: 16876: Fire: 1: The saying of the Almighty: "Or a burning brand from the fire," meaning: a piece of burning coal. He said: This is in the language of all the Arabs.

And Abu Ubaydah said: The jadhwah (brand) is like the khidmah (service), which is the thick piece of wood, whether or not there was fire at its end.

: 16878: The blessed: 2: The saying of the Almighty: "In the blessed spot." Al-Ashab al-Uqayli recited "in the buq'ah" with a fatha on the ba.

Their saying biqa' (spots) indicates buq'ah, just as one says jafnah (large bowl) and jafan (plural). And whoever says buq'ah says buqa', like ghurfah (chamber) and ghuraf (plural).

2973: 16881: The worlds: 1: The saying of the Almighty: "Indeed, I am Allah, Lord of the worlds" is a negation of the divinity of any other besides Him, Glorified be He. Through these words, he became one of the chosen ones of Allah, the Almighty, among His messengers, for he does not become a messenger until after he is commanded with the message, and the command for it only occurred after these words.

: 16885: The cold: 2: See, Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (3/387).

2974: 16886: The right side of the valley: 1: Ibn Kathir said in the tafsir of this verse: Meaning, from the side of the valley which is towards the mountain on its right, from the western direction.

: 16888: Cast your staff: 2: The saying of the Almighty: "And that you cast your staff" is a conjunction to "O Moses." The discussion on this preceded in "al-Naml" and "Ta-Ha."

2974: 16892: And do not fear: 1: The saying of the Almighty: "O Moses, come forward and do not fear." Wahb said: It was said to him, "Return to where you were."

So he returned and wrapped his cloak around his hand. The angel said to him: "What do you think if Allah wills to afflict you with what you fear, will your wrapping your hand avail you?" He said, "No, but I am weak, I was created from weakness." And he uncovered his hand and put it into the mouth of the snake, and it returned to being a staff.
