Every sin they committed in idolatry, and be rewarded for the good deeds they did in Islam.

It is also possible that their sins in Islam are expiated, and they are rewarded for their good deeds from both their time in disbelief and in Islam.

3036: 17164: They were stirred up: 1: Meaning: they were opened.

: 17167: They used to do: 2: The Almighty repeated the representation of the state of the believing workers to stimulate the souls toward attaining their ranks.

3037: 17169: The righteous: 1: The saying of the Almighty: "And We will surely admit them among the righteous" is an intensification of the meaning, referring to those who are at the pinnacle of righteousness and its furthest ends.

When a believer attains this status, he attains its fruit and reward, which is Paradise.

3038: 17177: Is cut off: 1: The text of the hadith of Anas ibn Malik from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is that he said: "Whoever calls to a misguidance and is followed, he shall have a burden like the burdens of those who followed him without their burdens being lessened at all. And whoever calls to guidance and is followed, he shall have a reward like the rewards of those who followed him without their rewards being lessened at all."

Authentic, narrated by Ibn Majah (h/205), al-Jawami (9428), al-Mughni 'an Haml al-Asfar (3/318), Ithaf (8/320), al-Kanz (43076), al-Qurtubi (13/331), al-Bukhari in "al-Tarikh al-Kabir" (2/86), al-Tabari (14/66), and al-Manthur (4/117, 5/142). It was authenticated by Shaykh al-Albani.
