: 14202: The religion: 3: Ibn al-Qassar said: If a woman says to her husband or to a stranger, "Ya zaniyah" (O female adulteress)—using the feminine 'ha'—and likewise a stranger to a stranger, I do not know of any text from our scholars regarding it, but in my view, it constitutes a false accusation (qadhf) and the one who says it incurs the penalty (hadd), even if he added a letter, and this is the opinion of al-Shafi'i and Muhammad ibn al-Hasan. Abu Hanifah and Abu Yusuf said: It is not a false accusation. They agreed that if he says to his wife "Ya zani" (O adulterer), it is a false accusation. The evidence that it is a false accusation in the case of a man is that when the address is understood according to its meaning, its ruling is established, regardless of whether it is in a foreign tongue or Arabic.

And it was narrated from him also that it is from three to ten. Ibn 'Uyaynah said: Forty men. Mujahid said: From ten to fifteen. Its origin in the language and the speech of the Arabs is the group that supports one another.
