it is narrated by the group from the hadith of Shu'bah from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir from Jabir who said: I came to the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) regarding a debt that was upon my father, and I knocked on the door. He said: "Who is there?" I said: "It is I." He said: "I? I?!" as if he disliked it. See: Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (3/279).

: 14373: Their eyes: 2: His saying the Almighty: "Tell the believing men to lower their gaze." The particle "min" (from) is redundant, similar to His saying: "There is none among you but will pass over it." It is also said that "min" indicates partitivity (tab'id), because some forms of looking are permissible. Others said: "Ghad" (lowering) means diminution. It is said: "So-and-so lowered (ghadda) the status of so-and-so," meaning he belittled him. Thus, when the eye is not permitted to perform its function, it is belittled and diminished. In this view, "min" is a connector for the act of lowering, and is not for partitivity nor is it redundant.
2571: 14377: Their eyes: 1: It is narrated from 'Abdullah al-Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "I asked the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) about an accidental glance, and he commanded me to turn my gaze away." Narrated by Abu Dawud (h/2148), Ahmad (4/361), al-Tabarani (2/384), Sharh al-Sunnah (9/23), Mushkil (2/352), al-Kanz (13058, 13074), al-Targhib (3/36), Ma'ani (3/15), and Ibn Kathir (3/281).
2573: 14389: Their eyes: 1: I say: Many of them argued based on what was narrated by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi from the hadith of al-Zuhri, from Nabhan, the freed slave of Umm Salamah, that he told him that Umm Salamah narrated to him that she was with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and Maymunah. She said: While we were with him, Ibn Umm Maktum approached.
