2713: 15290: The Ever-Living: 1: The meaning of tawakkul (reliance) has preceded in 'Al 'Imran' and in this Surah, and that it is the heart's reliance upon Allah the Almighty in all matters, and that the causes are intermediate means commanded by Him, without relying upon them.

Al-Qurtubi said: Al-Zajjaj's statement is interpreted in a sound manner, which is that the 'all-aware' [khabir] be someone other than Allah, meaning: ask about Him a person who is all-aware, i.e., knowledgeable about Him, meaning: about His attributes and His names. The meaning is: 'And ask for Him an all-aware one,' so it is in the accusative case as a state (hal) from the implicit pronoun [referring to Him].
