2653 - al-Hasan b. Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, 'Abd al-Samad informed us that he heard Wahb b. Munabbih regarding His saying: "How will Allah bring this to life after its death?" He says: "When Jerusalem was destroyed and the scriptures were burned, Irmiya (Jeremiah) stood at the side of the mountain and said: 'How will Allah bring this to life after its death?' So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years. Then, Allah returned those whom He returned from the Children of Israel at the turn of seventy years from the time He caused him to die; they built it for thirty years, completing the hundred. When the hundred years passed, Allah returned his spirit to him while it had been built, and it was in its original state."

Abi Talib: "How will Allah bring this to life after its death? So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years, then He resurrected him." The first part of him that He created was his eyes.

He said: 'I have remained a day.'" Then he looked and saw the remainder of the sun and said: "or part of a day." Something similar was narrated from al-Hasan and al-Rabi' b. Anas.

His saying: "He said: 'Rather, you have remained a hundred years.'"

2658 - 'Isam b. Rawwad narrated to me, Adam reported to us, Isra'il reported to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Najiyah b. Ka'b al-Asadi, from 'Ali b. Abi Talib, who said: "'Uzayr, the Prophet of Allah, left his city while he was a young man, and he passed by a ruined village and said: 'How will Allah bring this to life after its death?' So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years, then He resurrected him. The first part of him that He created was his eyes. He looked at his bones, some of them being set against others, then they were clothed with flesh, then the soul was blown into him. It was said to him: 'How long have you remained?'
