His saying: "Then be informed of a war from Allah and His Messenger."
2919 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih reported to us, Mu'awiyah b. Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali b. Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "O you who have believed, fear Allah and give up what remains of interest, if you should be believers. And if you do not, then be informed of a war from Allah and His Messenger." He said: Whoever persists in interest and does not desist from it, it is the duty of the Imam of the Muslims to ask him to repent; if he desists, then [it is accepted], otherwise he shall strike his neck.
2920 - My father narrated to us, Hajjaj b. Minhal reported to us, Rabi'ah b. Kulthum reported to us, my father narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: It will be said on the Day of Resurrection to the consumer of interest: "Take your weapons for war." He said: "And if you do not, then be informed of a war from Allah and His Messenger."
2921 - 'Ali b. al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad b. Bashshar reported to us, 'Abd al-A'la reported to us, Hisham b. Hassan reported to us, from al-Hasan and Ibn Sirin, that they both said: By Allah, these money changers are consumers of interest, and they have been informed of a war from Allah and His Messenger. If there were a just Imam over the people, he would have asked them to repent; if they repented, [they would be spared], otherwise he would bring weapons against them.
2922 - Musa b. Harun al-Tusi informed us, al-Husayn b. Muhammad al-Marrudhi reported to us, Shayban b. 'Abd al-Rahman reported to us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "Then be informed of a war from Allah and His Messenger," he said: He threatened them with killing, as you hear, and He made them as abandoned/fair game wherever they are found. So beware of what mixes with these transactions of interest, for Allah has made the lawful vast and wholesome, and let not poverty drive you to disobedience of Allah.
And Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Abi Aslam said, Ishaq b. Rahawayh reported to us, he said: I read to Abu Qurrah in the Tafsir of Ibn Jurayj, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding: "Then be informed of a war from Allah and His Messenger," meaning: Be certain of a war from Allah and His Messenger.
His saying: "But if you repent"
2923 - 'Ali b. al-Husayn narrated to us, Musa b. Harun al-Dulabi reported to us, Marwan reported to us, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak, regarding His saying: "But if you repent, you may have your principal capital," he says: If you act according to what I have commanded you, then you shall have your principal capitals.
2924 - I read to Muhammad b. al-Fadl, Muhammad b. 'Ali reported to us, Muhammad b. Muzahim reported to us
قوله: فَأْذَنُوا بِحَرْبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ
٢٩١٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَوْلَهُ: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَذَرُوا مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ الرِّبَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلُوا فأذنوا بِحَرْبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَمَنْ كَانَ مُقِيمًا عَلَى الرِّبَا لَا يَنْزِعُ عَنْهُ فَحَقٌّ عَلَى إِمَامِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَنْ يَسْتَتِيبَهُ، فَإِنْ نَزَعَ، وَإِلا ضَرَبَ عُنُقَهُ.
٢٩٢٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ منهال، ثنا ربعة بْنُ كُلْثُومٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: يُقَالُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لآكِلِ الرِّبَا: خُذْ سِلاحَكَ لِلْحَرْبِ. قَالَ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلُوا فَأْذَنُوا بِحَرْبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ.
٢٩٢١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَابْنِ سِيرِينَ، أَنَّهُمَا قَالَا: وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ الصَّيَارِفَةِ لَأَكَلَةُ الرِّبَا، وَإِنَّهُمْ قَدْ أُذِنُوا بِحَرْبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ، وَلَوْ كَانَ عَلَى النَّاسِ إِمَامٌ عَادِلٌ، لاسْتَتَابَهَمْ، فَإِنْ تَابُوا، وَإِلا وَضَعَ فِيهِمُ السِّلاحَ.
٢٩٢٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ الطُّوسِيُّ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَوْلُهُ: فَأْذَنُوا بِحَرْبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ قَالَ:
أَوْعَدَهُمْ بِالْقَتْلِ كَمَا تَسْمَعُونَ، وَجَعَلَهُمْ بَهْرَجًا أَيْنَ مَا لُقُوا، فَإِيَّاكُمْ، وَمَا خَالَطَ هَذِهِ الْبُيُوعَ مِنَ الرِّبَا، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَوْسَعَ الْحَلالَ وَأَطَابَهُ، وَلا تُلْجِئَنَّكُمْ إِلَى مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ فَاقَةٌ.
وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي أَسْلَمَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي قُرَّةَ فِي تَفْسِيرِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَأْذَنُوا بِحَرْبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ اسْتَيْقِنُوا بِحَرْبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ.
قوله: وَإِنْ تُبْتُمْ
٢٩٢٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ الدُّولابِيَّ، ثنا مَرْوَانُ عَنْ جُوَيْبِرٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَإِنْ تُبْتُمْ فلكم رؤس أَمْوَالِكُمْ يَقُولُ: إِنْ عَمِلْتُمْ بِالَّذِي أَمَرْتُكُمْ فَلَكُمْ رؤس أَمْوَالِكُمْ.
