it is binding upon him. It was narrated from 'Ata' al-Khurasani, al-Rabi' b. Anas, Muqatil b. Hayyan, and Qatadah something similar to that.
The second interpretation:
2249 - 'Isam b. Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Mansur, from Abu al-Duha, from Masruq, something similar, meaning His saying: "And do not retain them to their detriment." He said: That he divorces her, and when her waiting period is about to expire, he takes her back, yet he does not intend to retain her; rather, he keeps her for that reason, and he intends harm. So this is the one who causes harm, and this is the one who takes the verses of Allah in mockery.
His saying, the Most High: "And remember the favor of Allah upon you"
2250 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih the scribe of al-Layth narrated to us, Mu'awiyah b. Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali b. Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "The favor of Allah," he says: The well-being (afiyah) of Allah.
2251 - Hajjaj b. Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "And remember the favor of Allah upon you," the favors are the bounties (ala') of Allah.
His saying: "And what He has sent down to you of the Book and wisdom"
2252 - I read to Muhammad b. al-Fadl, Muhammad b. 'Ali narrated to us, Muhammad b. Muzahim narrated to us, from Bukayr b. Ma'ruf, from Muqatil b. Hayyan, regarding His saying: "And what He has sent down to you of the Book and wisdom," meaning by wisdom: the lawful and the unlawful, and what the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) legislated.
His saying, the Most High: "He instructs you with it; and fear Allah, and know that Allah is All-Knowing of all things"
2253 - And by the same chain from Muqatil b. Hayyan, he says: "Allah instructs you with it," and fear Allah regarding His commands and prohibitions, "and know that Allah is All-Knowing of all things."
His saying, the Most High: "And when you divorce women and they fulfill their term, do not prevent them from remarrying their husbands"
2254 - 'Abd Allah b. Ayyub al-Mukharrimi narrated to us, Yahya b. Abi Bukayr narrated to us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi narrated to us, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, from Ma'qil b. Yasar, that he married his sister to a man, then he divorced her, and she became separated (ba'inat) from him. Then he came to propose to her. Ma'qil said to him: I gave her to you in marriage and preferred you, yet you divorced her. Then you have come now

جَازَ عَلَيْهِ «١» . وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ وَمُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ وَقَتَادَةَ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٢٢٤٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ رَوَّادٍ ثنا آدَمُ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، مِثْلَهُ، يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُ: وَلا تُمْسِكُوهُنَّ ضِرَارًا قَالَ: أَنْ يُطَلِّقَهَا حَتَّى إِذَا كَادَتْ أَنْ تَنْقَضِيَ عِدَّتُهَا رَاجَعَهَا وَلا يُرِيدُ إِمْسَاكَهَا وَيَحْبِسُهَا لِذَلِكَ، وَيُريدُّ الإِضْرَارَ. فَذَلِكَ الَّذِي يُضَارُّ، وَذَلِكَ الَّذِي يَتَّخِذُ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ هُزُوًا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: واذكروا نعمت اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ
٢٢٥٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ كَاتِبُ اللَّيْثِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أبي طلحة، عن ابن عباس، قوله: نعمت اللَّهِ يَقُولُ: عَافِيَةُ اللَّهِ.
٢٢٥١ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَوْلُهُ: وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ النِّعَمُ آلاءُ اللَّهِ.
قَوْلُهُ: وَمَا أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَالْحِكْمَةِ
٢٢٥٢ - قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ، عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، قَوْلُهُ: وَمَا أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَالْحِكْمَةِ يَعْنِي بِالْحِكْمَةِ: الْحَلالَ وَالْحَرَامَ وَمَا سَنَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: يَعِظُكُم بِهِ وَاتَّقُواْ اللهَ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللهَ بِكُلِّ شيء عليم
٢٢٥٣ - وَبِهِ عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، يَقُولُ: يَعِظُكُمُ اللَّهُ بِهِ، وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ فِي أَمْرِهِ وَنَهْيِهِ، وَاعْلَمُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَنْ ينكحن أزواجهن
٢٢٥٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمُخَرِّمِيُّ ثنا نحيى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّهُ زَوَّجَ أُخْتَهُ مِنْ رَجُلٍ فَطَلَّقَهَا، فَبَانَتْ مِنْهُ. فَجَاءَ يَخْطُبُهَا. فَقَالَ لَهُ مَعْقِلٌ: زوجتك وآثرتك فطلقتها. ثم جئت الآن
